Shopify / Shopify PLUS Developer

CommerceMate is a full-service e-commerce agency based out of Los Angeles, California, with a great portfolio of clients and an excellent reputation. We design, develop and optimize Shopify and Shopify Plus websites for some of the best DTC brands on the planet.

Our team of designers, developers, solutions architects, and e-comm consultants is growing, and we are looking for more talented people to join our team.

Position:
As we expand our e-commerce portfolio, we’re looking for an experienced Shopify developer to help develop and manage projects. You’ll be responsible for implementing pages and features within our clients’ custom Shopify themes, as well as integrating 3rd party apps and general site upkeep tasks. You’ll be working closely with our PM team to liaise with clients and come up with development timelines and constraints.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the development of the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps

  • Implement system integrations that are crucial to our success

  • Conducting root cause analysis and determining/developing corresponding action items

  • Implement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools

Skills needed for success:

  • Shopify Liquid and Shopify API

  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  • Page loading speed optimization

  • Experience using Theme Kit, Figma, Adobe XD, Invision, Photoshop

  • Experience integrating/customizing 3rd party Shopify apps

  • SEO optimization and Analytics/Tracking

  • English
