CommerceMate is a full-service e-commerce agency based out of Los Angeles, California, with a great portfolio of clients and an excellent reputation. We design, develop and optimize Shopify & Shopify Plus websites for some of the best DTC brands on the planet.
Our team of designers, developers, solutions architects, and e-comm consultants is growing, and we are looking for more talented people to join our team.
Position
We are looking for a talented Digital Designer to create amazing visual experiences for the best DTC e-commerce brands. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful typography and design. They should also have superior user interface design skills and understand the basics of the usability and e-commerce store structure. The candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements and wireframes into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. The core platform for our web design requirements is Shopify so experience with Shopify is preferred and should include both full mockups and also creative imagery to incorporate into blocks.
Your responsibilities will include:
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
Create wireframes, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Skills needed for success:
Shopify Experience
Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Proficiency in Figma, Illustrator and other visual design and wire-framing tools
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Attention to details
Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject (recommended)
